DRAFT PREVIEW
thyne to thyself, be true.

Workforce readiness

Find how you are wired to work.

Answer a few questions, meet your archetype, and see where it can take you. A 40-item Alignment Assessment maps how a student learns, decides, and works, then points toward majors, careers, and internships that actually fit.

Takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Built for students ages 14 to 26 in career and technical programs. No birthdate. No background questions.

What thyne is

A self-discovery tool for the start of a career, not the end of one.

Thyne helps students exploring career and technical programs understand how they actually work, then turns that into a path they can act on.

A 40-item Alignment Assessment maps how a student finds purpose, learns, uses their energy, makes decisions, follows their curiosity, works with others, communicates, and chooses an environment. What comes back is not a score. It is a personalized Alignment Profile they can take into an advising conversation.

Most tools ask a student what they want to be. Thyne starts with how they already work, and lets the direction follow from that.

The premise

How it works

Three steps. No wrong answers.

Most students finish in fifteen to twenty minutes.

STEP 01

Answer honestly

Forty short statements, rated on a simple scale, across ten areas of how a person works and what they need to do their best.

STEP 02

Meet your archetype

Answers are scored against eight archetypes. Most students land closest to one, with a second close behind. Thyne shows both rather than forcing a single label when the fit is genuinely close.

STEP 03

See where it leads

The Alignment Profile covers strengths and growth areas, what drains you and what refills you, majors, careers and internships worth exploring, and one concrete action to try in the next 30 days.

The alignment profile

More than a label. A working map of how you operate.

Every profile covers the same ground, built from that student's own results:

  • Primary and secondary archetype
  • A compass comparing all eight archetypes
  • Six style facets: learning, energy, decision, team, communication, environment
  • Strengths and growth areas
  • Confidence and resilience bands
  • What drains you, and what refills you
  • Recommended majors, careers, and internships
  • One growth action for the next 30 days

The eight archetypes

Everyone is wired differently. This is the map.

No archetype is better than another. Each one describes a real way of working, with its own strengths and its own growth edge.

Piloting now

Pointed at the programs students are actually choosing.

Thyne is currently piloting with the Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) at Hudson Valley Community College, serving the Troy and Albany sites. Recommendations map to the real program pathways students there are choosing, not generic career advice.

Privacy

We ask for less, on purpose.

Thyne collects a student name, email, program, and assessment answers. Nothing else. No birthdate, no social security number, no household information, ever.

That is not a policy written after the fact. It is a constraint the product was designed around, because many of the students using it are minors.

"We only ask for your name and program, nothing about your birthday or background."

  • Open any assigned student Alignment Profile once it has been submitted.
  • Mark supporting coursework mandatory or optional per student.
  • Program and course lists are scoped to your institution.
